Modern Litho – Jefferson City is hiring for an Estimator. This is a full-time position eligible for a full benefit package. Working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Estimate labor and material costs of printed materials based on specifications outlined from sales, customer service, or customers.
Examine specifications to calculate production costs using MIS estimating module to determine the most cost effective production method.
To decipher quote requests, determine how the item should be efficiently produced and formulate the costs for the item.
Develop cost saving measures for the company and the customer.
Write proposals/quotations that are explanatory and thorough.
Keep informed of new and existing equipment and their capabilities.
Assist sales staff and customer service in providing customers information.
Find new vendors to produce the product requested, if needed.
Must be organized and have the ability to work under tight timelines. Must be highly productive and able to meet deadlines. Must maximize resources to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Must manage details well and confer with production personnel to develop or confirm information regarding various cost elements. Must have good analytical skills, technical skills, knowledge of company processes, and product knowledge. Must communicate effectively both verbally and electronically with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
