Production/Bindery Manager (Kansas City)
Schedules and plans work according to due dates. Coordinates with other departments and job ticket to determine specifications for receipt of product to customers. Ensures accuracy by periodic auditing and quality control of work in progress. Supervises and trains operators in department and conducts employee evaluations. Schedules and plans work according to due dates. Orders supplies and evaluates new products that relate to the bindery. Develop a maintenance schedule and delegate preventative maintenance on equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must be mechanically inclined and be able to set up and run all bindery equipment. Must manage details well. Must be organized, able to multitask, able to prioritize, and have the ability to work under stress. Must have good interpersonal skills. Must keep work-flow in department efficient. Must communicate interdepartmentally to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Employee may be requested to work overtime. Must enter data into a designated computer program to record time and materials.

Solutions to problems often require coordination with other departments.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, AND two years formal training or two years of college or comparable education.
Experience: 5 years or more, Machine operating experience required.
Physical Demands: Appreciable physical effort or strain. Moderately heavy lifting (60 lbs), pulling and pushing activity. May include reaching and stooping. Constant standing (~8 hrs).
Working Conditions: Intermittent exposure to one or more unpleasant physical conditions, such as noise and odors. Hearing protection is recommended. Impact of Error: Errors could result in financial penalties, losses, or programmatic repercussions to the company.
